Crafted in Cornwall
I’m Will, an artist and craftsman based in South Cornwall. Helford Signal Works was born from a desire to bridge my passion for vintage design with a deep-rooted love for textiles and craft. From my studio overlooking the Helford River, I create hand-crafted heirlooms, objects designed with a timeless aesthetic and a sense of place.
Textile craftsmanship is woven into my family’s history, spanning generations of quilting, pattern making, and knitting. I'm proud to carry these traditions forward, making soulful pieces designed to endure for many tides to come.
Made To Last
Each piece begins with a foundation of 10 oz heavy cotton canvas, chosen for its substantial weight and professional-grade durability that prevents sagging over time. The edges are double hemmed with cotton twill tape banner, providing a clean, reinforced structure, with heavy-duty twine loops for a secure, rustic hang.
The lettering designs use high-quality wool-mix felt, hand-cut to ensure a soft, dimensional texture. As well as supercover opaque ink for rich a stencil print.
Every element is chosen not just for its aesthetic appeal, but for its ability to transform a simple wall hanging into a timeless heirloom.
